Job Purpose
The Casting Manager is responsible for establishing and executing the casting strategy within the Indian market to discover and nurture high-potential new talents (artists, producers, writers, etc.) suitable for HYBE's global artist lineup. Based on a deep understanding of the local Indian culture, this role is key to developing unique casting routes and successfully operating HYBE's audition and casting processes locally.
Key Responsibilities
Talent Acquisition Strategy and Execution in the Indian Market:
- Establish roadmaps and execution strategies for discovering casting candidates in major cities and regions across India.
- Actively explore and secure a pipeline of new artist candidates with diverse cultural backgrounds and talents in India.
Local Casting Route Development and Management:
- Develop and manage various casting routes in India, including schools, dance studios, music academies, performance venues, and social media platforms.
- Build networks and manage partnerships with local agencies, influencers, and industry contacts.
Audition Planning and Operation:
- Plan and successfully run online and offline auditions and casting events within India.
- Systematically manage audition applicant data and select appropriate talent.
Candidate Management and Communication:
- Clearly and positively communicate HYBE's vision, contract terms, and training systems to potential candidates and their guardians.
- Handle all administrative and communication tasks arising during the initial casting process.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher (any major).
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in the media/entertainment industry, specifically in Casting or A&R in India.
- Deep understanding of the music, dance, and entertainment industries, and local culture in India.
- Business-level proficiency in English and Hindi/local regional language.
- Strong communication skills, including excellent interpersonal sensitivity, negotiation, and persuasion abilities.
- Ability to undertake frequent local travel and possess flexibility in working hours.
Preferred Qualifications
- High level of interest in and understanding of the K-Pop industry and artist training systems.
- Experience working in a multinational environment or participating in global casting projects.
- Keen intuition for recognizing high-potential newcomers and ability to identify market trends.
